2016 - What a year!
2016 - What a year!
Hello everyone, first of all I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Last week's Wallsend Wednesday marked the final event for Tyneside Connect in 2016.
Well that's it, 2016 over! I think we'll all agreee it's been a rollercoaster of a year. We've said goodbye to our Stonebrook event, opened up Wallsend Wednesday, said hello and goodbye to our Jarrow event and welcomed Willow Wednesday. That's a lot of change in just one year and a total of over 28 events.
I would like to thank everyone who has made Tyneside Connect possible this year and in my opinion put us in a much stronger position going forward.
Thank you to every single one of you who has turned up to an event this year, you're the ones we do this for, we hope you've enjoyed the events you've attended and gotten something back from it.
Thank you to everyone behind the scenes (the comittee) who have spent their own time arranging speakers, running the website, organising events, timing etc.
Thank you to The Town Hall Chambers in Wallsend for the use of their premises, the tea, coffee and muffins, and thanks for setting up the room ready for the events each month.
Thank you to Frankies & Benny's at Silverlink for their amazing hospitality, they do an awful lot of running around for us very early in the morning!
On behalf of everyone who has attended Willow Wednesday, thank you to the staff at Willow Farm and to Simon for keeping it running before handing it over to us.
We have a huge amount planned for 2017 and hope that we can continue to shape Tyneside Connect to be your number one networking event in the North East. We have a long way to go but we'll get there together. If anyone has any feedback, suggestions or wants to get a bit more involved with the running of Tyneside Connect please get in touch with Chris, Mark or any of the other comittee members.
Further news and information for 2017 coming soon.
